How the Digital SAT is scored
The Digital SAT is section-adaptive. Each section (Reading & Writing and Math) has two modules. Your performance on Module 1 determines whether Module 2 is the easier or harder track. Reaching the harder track unlocks the upper portion of the 200–800 scaled range; the easier track caps your section near ~600.
Digital SAT vs. paper SAT
The paper SAT used a fixed-form raw-to-scaled conversion table. The Digital SAT uses adaptive routing, so two students with the same raw count can earn very different scaled scores depending on which Module 2 they took. This calculator accounts for that by asking which track you reached.
How accurate is this estimate?
Scaled scores are approximations within roughly ±30 points per section. For an exact score, take a full official College Board Bluebook practice test. Use this calculator to track week-over-week progress as you study.
